El Haragán y Compañía arrasan con su «Rumbo a los 30» Tour por Estados Unidos y Canadá
Rumbo a los 30
El Haragan y CIA, Keeping Rock and Roll Alive!
I had the privilege of watching this seasoned band live in the middle of their North American tour. The band celebrates 29 years of making music and live performances. I have to add that the singer, Luis Álvarez has been performing since the young age of 12 in Mexico City where he is from. This is very evident as you watch him perform and entertain his crowd with amazing magnetism! The band has released 17 albums since they have started and have received many awards and recognition.
Rewind back to 1996 through 2003 when we were searching through Myspace events for the next Rock En Español show. By the way, to this day I have all of my concert stubs from shows like Caifanes, Heroes del Silencio, Fobia, Café Tacvba just to name a few, but I had never seen El Haragan. I found myself reminiscing of all those times crossing the border to Tijuana to check out a show full of my people rocking out in a black concert T, Dr. Martens and jeans. I loved it!
Fast forward to last night, (August 9th, 2019), I walked into the San Diego Music Box and it was a little like walking into the twilight zone or maybe just a blast from the past! The band entered the stage with a very strong and confident presence of true rock star legends. As I looked around me, I saw so many fans very happy and enthusiastic about seeing this performance. Hands in the air! The band was awesome! It is so nice to see some of our early musical influencers reunite to bring back a nostalgic piece of musical memorabilia. They are truly keeping Rock and Roll alive!
If you are interested in seeing them perform, they still have a couple shows left in August! Check out the website for tour dates and locations!
