PANTEÓN ROCOCÓ Presenta SONORO un Álbum Inédito Que Celebra su Esencia y su Evolución Musical
After six years without a new album since Infiernos (2019), Panteón Rococó returns with Sonoro, a project that reflects the band’s creative force and brotherhood. Conceived and produced independently, the album represents a new chapter in the band’s history, consolidating their independent spirit and ability to reinvent themselves.
Recorded at the legendary Studio 2 at East West in Los Angeles and at Studio Soga in Morelos, Sonoro was produced by two internationally renowned figures: KC Porter, Grammy winner and responsible for historic works with Carlos Santana, Ricky Martin, and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, and Prince Fatty (Mike Pelanconi), British producer and leading figure in European ska and reggae.
The album stands out for its sonic diversity, moving from ska to rock steady, reggae, drum & bass, hip hop, blues, and even rock and roll, with collaborators that broaden its musical spectrum: Carín León, Remmy Valenzuela, Sabino, LNG/SHT, and Josh Waters Rudge (The Skints).
Additionally, each single cover was reinterpreted by colleagues and iconic artists: Chá! (Fobia), Pino (Estrambóticos), Sergio Arau (Botellita de Jerez), Jorge Alderete (Sonido Gallo Negro), and the main album artwork bears the signature of José Fors (La Cuca).
The name Sonoro comes from one of the songs on the album, but it also pays tribute to the many sounds that have marked the band’s life: from the horns in the neighborhood and the hustle and bustle of the street market to the energy of their concerts. It is a concept that connects with Mexico’s popular identity and the power of Rococó’s sound.
With this release, Panteón Rococó reaffirms its place as one of the most beloved and influential bands in Latin America, inviting new generations to join the musical journey they have built over 30 years.
